What is Dog Skills ?
Dog Skills is a practical, confidence-building class designed to help dogs and their owners succeed in everyday life. Developed in collaboration with The Dog Project, these classes focus on teaching useful, real-world behaviours that make living with your dog easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
This isn’t about perfection or competition — it’s about communication, understanding, and teamwork.

Class plans are developed alongside The Dog Project to ensure modern, ethical, and dog-centred training practices.
Levels of Dog Skills
We understand dogs and handlers will be at different levels with their training, and we are able to adapt our group classes to suit all levels.
For now, all dogs and handlers participate in the one class. However, as we grow as a business, we hope to split dog skills into two or more levels which you can work through.
Class Details
When: Sundays at 9:00am
Where: Kempsey Racecourse
Cost: $20 per class, booked by the term (E.g., a 10-week term will be $200).
Suitability: Dog Skills classes are suitable for pet dogs of all ages, provided they are full vaccinated (so puppies must have had all of their puppy vaccines). All training is reward-based and designed to support dogs at their own pace.
